I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest.  I have a degree in K-8 Education, a masters in K-6 Mathematics, and a minor/endorsement in Literacy. I have eight years experience in public education within the Yelm and Steilacoom School Districts. I have also be tutoring for 4 years.  My favorite part of teaching is finding creative ways to help students succeed.  Learning is not a one size fits all box!

The idea of From Teacher to Tutor was born after years of working in public education. After watching many families hit roadblocks with finding avenues to assist their child outside of the classroom, I realized I wanted to create a company providing accessible, high quality services to students and parents. Parents are busy and it is often not possible to go somewhere (especially in the COVID-19 era) for tutoring/support, so I come to you!  I utilize Google Classroom and Google Meet for all virtual sessions and lesson materials. Creative individualized lessons and support are always just a click away.

When I am not in the role of teacher you can find me spending time with my husband, four year old daughter, and two year old son, traveling, hiking, working in the yard, having coffee, a good book, and some kitty snuggles (we have two: Cami and Freya).
